Mosa Lina: The Improvised Dance with Limited Tools

There are three things on the table: a board, a spring, and a spoon. That’s all. I looked at them, and then at the room in front of me — there was a very high hole in the wall, and several wooden boxes were scattered on the ground. I need to go to the cave, but how can I get up? The board is too short, I don’t know how to use the spring, and the spoon looks useless. I stood in the middle of the room and felt like a man facing the keyhole without a key.

I picked up the spring and tried to press it to the ground. It jumped and almost bounced on my face. The board always slips when leaning against the wall, and the spoon only drops a little dust when digging the wall. Time was running out. I was a little anxious. I grabbed the board and threw it randomly. It hit the wall and bounced back, just knocking over a box. The box fell down and pressed on the spring, and the spring made a creaking sound when it was flattened. The sound suddenly gave me an idea.

I put the board flat on the ground, put one end on the fallen box to make a slope, and then put the flattened spring at the lowest point of the slope. I stood on the slope and jumped up, landing on the spring — bang! The spring suddenly bounced away and shot me into the air like a bean. I hurriedly adjusted my posture in the air, reached out to reach the wall hole, and my fingertips brushed the edge and did not grab it. I fell on the box, and the blood strip was missing, but I couldn’t help laughing. It turns out that the spring needs to be flattened to be strong. It turns out that the board can be used as a slope. It turns out that the box is not only a box, but also a stone that holds the spring.

In the next level, things were changed: a rope, a wheel, and a roll of tape. There is a ditch in the middle of the room and a door opposite. I stared at the wheel for a long time. It looked like it should have been installed in some car, but I didn’t even have a rack. Try to tie the rope on the wheel and roll it over. The wheel is stuck in the edge of the ditch and doesn’t move. I was a little angry. I pulled out the tape and put it on the rope indiscriminately. One end stuck to the wheel and the other end stuck to my hand. Step back, the tape tightened, and I let go — the wheel was pulled by the elasticity of the tape and flew through the ditch, and fell on the other side with a thud, just stuck on the edge of the ditch.

The wheel became a temporary pier. I straightened the rope and stepped on it. The rope sank, and the wheel slid down. I quickly jumped over and rushed to the door before the wheel fell completely into the ditch. I passed the customs, but I felt that I didn’t “solved” the puzzle, but more like a fight with the room in a panic, and finally won inexplicably. After playing for a long time, I’m not afraid of those strange combinations of tools. Give me a bucket, a lipstick and a battery? Well, I know that the bucket can be buttoned on the head as armor, the lipstick can be used to draw a light mark on the wall, and the battery can be thrown out to smash the switch. I don’t know what the designer thinks, but in this world, you have to try everything, even if you look like a madman when you try.

The happiest time was when they gave me a horn, a pillow and a pair of scissors. The room needs to hold down two switches at the same time, which can be switched on both ends of the room. I held the horn in a daze, and suddenly pressed the switch — the horn did not sound, but the switch was pressed down by the bottom of the horn. It turns out that the butt of the horn is flat. Where is the pillow? I threw it on another switch, and it pressed the switch softly. Insert the scissors under the pillow and hold the switch to prevent it from bouncing. I passed the test like this. I didn’t run or jump. I sat in front of the screen and laughed for a long time. I feel that I am not a player. I am a tramp looking for a treasure in the garbage heap. I built a road to cross the river with the rags I picked up.

Now every time I enter a new room, I no longer ask “what should I do”. I’ll throw away, press and disassemble all the things in my hand first. I deal with these tools like dealing with strangers — you have to touch them to know what kind of temper they have. After quitting the game, I went to the kitchen to pour water and saw rolling pins, clips and a pack of unopened hanging noodles on the shelf. I stared at them for a while and suddenly thought, if there is a wall in front of me now, can I use these three things? Probably not. But I know that in some pink and unreasonable game world, someone must be using something weirder to jump over a higher wall.

_Mosa Lina_ didn’t teach me how to solve the puzzle. It taught me not to be afraid of the lack of things in my hand, and not to be afraid of the height of the wall in front of me. Squat down and see what you have — even if it’s just a spoon, a spring, and a crooked board. Then stand up and try to dance an improvised dance with the world with them. It doesn’t matter if you dance wrongly or fall down, because when the music of the next dance sounds, everything in your hand will change again. And all you have to do is to squat down again and see what strange cards fate has given you this time.
